Creative Workshops for children 10+ - 15+ years BLUE WORKSHOP

This programme starts on August 26 at 4pm and will be over in December.

Workshops will be held every Saturday from 4 to 5:30pm. These children get to be part of the 27th Christmas Pantomime "Men in Black" scheduled for December 13 to 18 at the Museum Theatre.

The Little Theatre Annual Programme

The Annual Creative Workshops have been designed specially for the 5 to 15 year olds. The programme starts in September and ends in December after the Christmas Pantomime shows. This year we will start on the last Saturday in August. The children get to be part of the cast and perform 8 public shows.

The programme includes Creative Workshops (Theatre, dance, music, art & craft, tie & dye, photography and a lot more) on Saturdays from 4 to 5:30 for the 5 to 15 year olds at our air conditioned studio in Nungambakkam, Cheria aana, 'trick or treat' during Halloween, carol singing on the back of bullock carts and a cast party at the end of the programme and the opportunity to be part of the little theatre's annual Christmas Pantomime Shows. There will be extra rehearsals during the month of November/ December in preparation for the show.

The Little Theatre's Christmas Pantomime has become the highlight of the Christmas season in Chennai and has become a 'tradition' with the city for the last 31 years. The Little Theatre has played for 26 of these years to packed audiences at the Museum Theatre, Egmore.

Unfortunately due to the Covid 19 Pandemic our shows for Dec 2020 and 2021 were cancelled. We look forward to bringing you the shows in December 2023.

How much is it? It is an annual membership of Rs 20,000/-. This is a one time payment for the whole programme (includes all art material for workshops, costumes for the show and the extra)

When does it start? Last Saturday in August - August 26, 2023. A detailed calendar of subsequent workshops will be given.

How many to a workshop? We run two workshop groups which are colour coded: 5+ to 9+ year olds - Green Workshop (a maximum of 25 participants) 10+ to 15 year olds - Blue Workshop (a maximum of 25 participants)
