BDG LifeSciences (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. is a Bioinformatics company and is conducting Training, Novel Research Projects, Workshops & Online Courses since 2010. To date, we have successfully trained hundreds of participants who were not only students but scientists, faculties, professor, company executives, etc from India as well as other countries. As we believe in a different way of learning which is HANDS-ON PRACTICAL SESSIONS our workshops are unique because participants perform on their own computer/laptop on software/servers, so it is practical application of technology which is the main reason of our success where we have conducted 100+ workshops around the world on latest technologies of Bioinformatics especially Drug Discovery & Designing, MD Simulations, NGS Data Analysis, and Gene & Genome Editing by CRISPR/Cas9. We are the first to launch a workshop and training course (Online & Onsite) on CRISPR/Cas 9 in May 2017 and since then did it successfully several times.
Till now we have conducted some great workshops in India as well as other countries to view the pictures of our previous events click here-1 and click here-2 To view the listing of upcoming events kindly click here and our previous workshops can be viewed here. Advancement of technologies like genome sequencing and metagenomics has given the scientists to study the microbes along with their function resulting in microbiome research. Innovation & creativity is an integral part of the BDG Lifesciences and we always launch new programs on the newest topics. We have launched a 2-day Technical Certificate Training MetaGenomics Analysis in 16S rRNA & Antibiotic resistance detection | Amplicon Sequencing & Nanopore Data Analysis in Bangkok, Thailand in which we will teach about the Metagenomics analysis of 16S rRNA and Nanopore data.
This will be our 4th event in Bangkok and will be an extensive hands-on training program in which participants will run the processes of MetaGenomics analysis on their own computer systems with complete learning of technology. The course will be of great help to students/ researchers/ faculty/ scientists in learning this latest technology to analyze the Sequencing Data.
TOPICS
PRACTICAL APPLICATION
EXPERIMENT 1- on 16S rRNA data where sequences were only the rRNA or ribosomal DNA of organisms generated through HTS (high throughput sequencing) reads to identify species in microbial or environmental DNA samples.
AIM OF THE EXPERIMENT- The aim of this experiment is to determine the micro-organisms from which the sequences in our sample are coming from, this is called taxonomic assignation. We try to assign sequences to taxons and then classify or extract the taxonomy in our sample.
EXPERIMENT 2- on Nanopore MinION sequencer data
AIM OF THE EXPERIMENT- The aim of this experiment is the reconstruction of full plasmid sequences and determining the presence of any antimicrobial resistance genes.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Student: Bachelor, Masters, PhD, MBBS, MD students as well as Faculty and Professors from Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, Medicine, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biomedical Technology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Plant Science and Life Sciences.
Professionals: Resident Doctors, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Medicine and Pharmaceutical scientists from industry, academia, and regulatory agencies. Hands-on exercises will be performed individually using software tools on your own laptops. (no prior experience required).
