My interview went on like this  Interviewer: Good morning  Me : (anxiously) good morning ma'am  She : what's ur name?  Me: mohana  She : why have you opted for Symbiosis while you have so many in your area  Me: because it is one of the best and I want to be best by taking course in it She : Will you read from prescribed books or should be provided with notes. Me : I can prepare through different books  She :what's ur aim  Me: writing civils examination and working for people. I'll work hard for it.  She : Why media & Mass communication then?  Me : Because these are important subjects in civils examinations.  She : Will you read newspaper?  Me : Yeah.. Local newspaper named eenadu  She : Can you tell me about Make in India campaign  Me : (with little confusion) it is.. A program arranged by Modi to make things in India and export to other countries.  She : and?  Me : And...  She : Okay, what are your hobbies?  Me : reading inspirational books and novels  She : interested in reading any author?  Me : Chetan bhagat  She : Games and sports...  Me : Intrested in throw ball  She : participated in any state wide competitions  Me : No  She : Where will you stay?  Me : In the hostel, of course.  She : Any guardian?  Me : Yes.  She : OK.. 1st year- You enter the campus, you’re all dazzled by the beauty since its on a hill and you join in July. Its raining and you say to yourself “I cant find a better campus”. You start the journey, make new friends blah blah. Its nothing like what you’ve seen in any of the movies. Within a month, you’re loaded with shitload of assignments. You try to be honest and start doing them on your own and swear to God that you wont copy them *ever*. It wont matter. In fact, it never did. Everyone gets almost the same marks in them. There’s absolutely no point of assignments. Everyone, I mean everyone knows these are copied. But well, no one cares. Unit tests, Practicals and End Sem exams follow. You bust your ass off to study. But don’t worry. Just mug-up the class notes and you should be good.

You can do whatever you want to do these 4 years, life is all chilled out, the attendance system is really strict. Just keep up with the attendance and you can do whatever the heck you want to.

Pro tip: Don’t screw around with any of the profs. Ever. Ever. They’re the ones who can save you in times you couldn’t even imagine.

Just in case you’re one of those who wants core Mech/Civil/EnTC jobs, you’re in for a ride dear. It comes hard. College tries, the placement cell does that as well, but only CS/IT guys will have the last laugh.

I’ve seen people from other colleges as well, this is way better than others, but, you’ll be paying a hell-lot more than any of your friends will. And that’s the part that kills me at times. Just check the fees. Compare it. Yes, you’ll get a brand name attached to you, but, is it worth that much?
